What we focus on now
Today our main focus is legal basement apartments. More Toronto homeowners want a second unit to help carry the mortgage or to house family, and more of them are learning that a finished basement is not the same as a legal one.
It is work that suits a general contractor with a long track record. A legal second suite touches every trade in the house: framing, concrete, windows, fire separation, heating, plumbing, electrical, kitchens and bathrooms. It also runs on permits and inspections, which we have been dealing with in Toronto for more than 25 years.
We still take on the rest of our work: basement renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, stucco and EIFS and commercial construction. It is all done the same way.
How we work
We see the job before we price it. We do not give prices over the phone or post them online. Every quote follows a site visit where we measure and look at the structure, so the number reflects the actual house.
We pull the permits. If the work needs a permit, we arrange the drawings, apply, book inspections and meet the inspector. We do not ask homeowners to skip permits to save time.
We build in the right order. Structure, moisture, fire separation and mechanical work come before finishes, and get inspected while they can still be seen.
We stay reachable. One phone number, (416) 473-5895, from the first call until the job is closed.
